Groceries keep getting more expensive, but most of us still aren’t very careful about wasting food. We spend an average of $248 per household each week on groceries. Of that, we end up throwing away $63 of those groceries every week. Do the math…that means we spend nearly $3,000 a year on unused groceries. But some of us are getting really creative about how we use leftovers, like turning leftover dinner into lunch the next day or making soups or casseroles.
