Boy Scout Missing For Two Days Found
July 31, 2018
A Utah teen who went missing over the weekend while hiking with his Boy Scout troop in Western Wyoming has been located. Garrett Hunter, 13, was separated for almost two days before searchers found him Monday morning, police report.
Garrett was hiking in a mountainous area on Saturday when he got away from his Boy Scout group, according to police. The teen has Asperger’s syndrome and officials were worried his condition could keep him from approaching anyone for help.
The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported that Garrett was found in good health Sunday night and stayed with volunteer searchers until Monday morning.

While one of California’s most destructive wildfires burns through the northern part of the state, celebrity chef Guy Fieri and his son Hunter, 21, headed to Redding to help feed those displaced by the fire and crews working to put it out. Fieri is working with volunteers, the Salvation Army, Operation Barbecue Relief, local chefs and residents to feed folks from a makeshift kitchen” set up in a trailer in a Shasta College parking lot.
Chef José Andrés is also there working with his relief organization World Central Kitchen alongside Fieri to feed first responders and victims. Andrés has been recognized for feeding people after destruction, including his efforts in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. And Fieri cooked thousands of meals in October 2017 when wildfires raged through his hometown of Santa Rosa, California.
“We’re in tough times as a world with all of the things going on,” Fieri says. “And boy, you take a moment like this and you really see what America is made of. A lot of great people coming together.”
Dolly Parton Gives Away 100-Millionth Book To Kids’ Reading Program

When singer Dolly Parton started her nonprofit, “Imagination Library”, two decades ago, she had a goal of getting books to kids around the world. She’s definitely helped some young readers over the years and now The Library of Congress has honored her by celebrating the 100-millionth book she’s donated.
Parton started the program in honor of her own father, who she calls the “smartest man” she ever knew, even though he couldn’t read. Now “The Book Lady,” as she’s known to the children who receive her donated books, has shown so many young minds the power of reading.
“Of all the things I’ve done in my life, and it’s been a lot ’cause I’ve been around a long time, this is one of the most precious things and the proudest I am of any program,” Dolly told the audience at the Nation’s Library in Washington, D.C.
