Teens Bring Prom To Girl With Third Degree Burns

After a devastating backyard fire pit accident a few weeks ago, 15-year-old Korryn Bachner thought she would miss her high school prom. She suffered third-degree burns after someone poured gasoline on the fire and will have to undergo surgery and treatments in the future, so with her whole head wrapped in bandages, she cancelled her prom plans.

But Korryn’s date and some of her friends from Glendale East High School surprised her at her house before heading to their prom. She even got dressed in her prom dress and made the best of it with her buddies. They took photos and made memories together in honor of the big dance.

Thanks to the kindness of her classmates, Korryn’s spirits were lifted. And her community has rallied to help her family tackle the growing expense of her medical bills by donating to a GoFundMe page that’s raised over $75,000 so far.

Rescuers Save Dogs Trapped By Volcano In Hawaii

Folks who live near the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii have had to leave home to escape the danger, but when Carol Hosley was packing up two weeks ago, her two dogs became frightened and ran away.

Hosley had adopted Little Dude and Brus from the Aloha Ilio animal rescue, so they joined her in searching for the pets. After 10 days of searching, the rescue team finally found the dogs trapped between a fence line and a surge of cooled lava. Luckily, they weren’t hurt by the lava, but they had been bitten by red ants and were severely shaken by the experience.

Rescue crew members had to army crawl to get to the dogs and while they were saving them, they weren’t out of danger themselves because another volcanic fissure was opening up close by, but no one was hurt. “I’m just thrilled to death, I just couldn’t be happier,” Hosley says. “The other stuff is stuff, but I got the dogs.”

Heroic Dog Rescues Fellow Pup Drowning In Pool

An Arizona family has shared a video showing one of their dogs save the other one who fell into their pool and was struggling to get out. The pups, Smokey and Remus, belong to Laurie and Jay Becerra and are seen playing on the patio around the pool in the video captured by their security camera, and then Smokey falls in.

Remus is seen pacing along the edge of the pool as his buddy tries unsuccessfully to get out of the water. Remus tries to help from the side, but when he can’t get Smokey out that way, he jumps in and gives his pal a nudge until he climbs out.

An Arizona family filmed a remarkable video that showed a dog save his buddy who fell into a pool and struggled to get out. Laurie praised “hero” dog Remus for saving Smokey, adding that even though he’s “a crazy pup, he’s got a heart of gold.”
