How many times have you squeezed the last possible bit out of a tube of eye cream, knowing there was more down in there, but you couldn’t get it out? It’s happened to all of us and as much as we’re spending on these beauty products, we really want to get every last drop. That’s why this hack from a Redditor is a game-changer.
In a post on the MakeupAddicts subreddit, one user shared a tip for saving money on beauty products that we can all start using to save money for the rest of our lives. It’s so simple, you’ll wonder why you never thought of it: cut the tube open to get the rest of the stuff out that won’t squeeze out. There’s always way more in the container than you realize when you think it’s “empty.”
"And this, ladies, is why you cut open your makeup/skin care when it's not letting you squeeze any more out," -Callievee- writes. "Look how much of my okay eye cream is left!!!"
The only caveat is that you need to be able to close the container to keep the product fresh. So clamp it closed with a binder clip or seal it up somehow to keep it fresh and you’ll get to use all that stuff you would have just tossed.
